1. Diapers

advantage:

(1) Easy to use: Throw it away after use, no need to wash, parents don't have to worry about the size of the clothes and the clothes will be soiled, usually replaced every 4-5 hours.

(2) Easy to replace.

shortcoming:

(1) It is easy to cause red buttocks: If the baby is not replaced in time after urination, the local moisture and the salt in the urine will stimulate the delicate skin of the baby's buttocks and cause diaper dermatitis, redness or even ulceration of the skin. Although the instructions for diapers say that they have good water absorption and breathability, compared with cloth diapers, they are still far behind, and the discharged urine is wrapped in them.

(2) There is the possibility of causing urinary tract infection: especially for girls, due to the short urethra, if they are not replaced and cleaned in time after defecation, it is likely that bacteria will reach the bladder through the urethra, and the ureter will cause "upward urinary tract infection".

(3) May affect the future fertility of boys: Although this situation is rare, it has been reported that long-term use of diapers can cause male infertility, because the retention of urine makes the local temperature of the scrotum higher and affects the development of the testicles.

(4) The cost is high: a piece of diaper is calculated at 2 yuan, and a small baby uses 6 pieces a day, which costs about 12 yuan a day and 360 yuan a month, which is a considerable economic burden for families with ordinary income.

(5) It is not conducive to environmental protection: a large number of used paper diapers are discarded at will without certain treatment. Over time, it will inevitably cause environmental pollution.

2. Cloth diapers

advantage:

(1) Good for health: cloth diapers are breathable and absorbent.

(2) Economical and economical: It can be remanufactured from old bed sheets, cotton sweaters, and trousers. It does not cost money, but only labor. Although it is not very elegant in appearance, it is soft and has good water absorption. It can be used repeatedly after washing. Much more economical than using diapers.

shortcoming:

(1) Frequent change: Only by changing frequently can the local area be kept clean and dry, but it is more troublesome at night and will affect the mother's sleep.

(2) Frequent washing: If it is summer, it is easier to do this, but in the cold winter and the twelfth lunar month, the cold water is unbearable.

(3) The package is complicated.

(4) Difficulty cleaning stains
